With another campout planned for the upcoming weekend, we don&#8217;t want to try full-time potty training until next week, but I also don&#8217;t want to lose our momentum. So, this week will be a balancing act of keeping her interested without pushing too much.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday afternoon, Ruby had about 2 hours of undie (then naked) time. She peed in the potty several times, with only one accident which happened outside in the grass (no biggie).<\/p>\n<p>Today, I engineered her first poop in the potty in a very long time. She&#8217;s pretty regular, and it&#8217;s a good bet that she&#8217;ll poop within 45 minutes of breakfast. So I asked if she&#8217;d like a little undie time after breakfast and she did, of course. After a few potty visits that were just farts, she was surprised to find herself pooping. We were both very excited, and I gave her a special treat (an Otter Pop) to celebrate. Undie time happened again after lunch, in hopes of a repeat performance, to no avail.<\/p>\n<p>So far, this middle-ground approach is working. When we have a decent chunk of time at home, we have &#8220;undie time&#8221; which is something Ruby enjoys and wants to do.
