{"id":1199,"date":"2016-08-01T05:02:10","date_gmt":"2016-08-01T12:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/travelingruby.com\/?p=1199"},"modified":"2017-06-03T21:56:53","modified_gmt":"2017-06-04T04:56:53","slug":"the-ups-and-downs-of-traveling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mynameisruby.com\/blog\/2016\/08\/the-ups-and-downs-of-traveling\/","title":{"rendered":"The ups and downs of traveling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-1233 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/travelingrubycom.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/08\/image.jpeg?w=600\" alt=\"image\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><br \/>\nI&#8217;ve mostly been doing posts about what I&#8217;ve done, but this time, I&#8217;m going to try something new.<\/p>\n<p>????The good things about traveling are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>if you are cold at home, there&#8217;s a pretty good chance that it will be warmer where you go<\/li>\n<li>there are interesting animals<\/li>\n<li>usually a pool<\/li>\n<li>eat out a lot<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>????The <em>less<\/em> good things about traveling are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you miss home<\/li>\n<li>you get bored<\/li>\n<li>repacking to move from place to place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>????But there are solutions to some of the problems:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FaceTime with who you miss<\/li>\n<li>have repeatable things (this means you can do them several times, like drawing, or playing with putty)<\/li>\n<li>have a good packing system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m in Sri Lanka now.
